Sarina Lincoln is a MSc student at the Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development programme.

Sarina is a MSc student passionate about conserving our oceans.

Sarina received an undergraduate degree in biology at Grinnell College and the University of Cape Town. Following graduation she worked for California Fish & Wildlife collecting management data on the San Francisco recreational Chinook salmon fishery. She later worked as a fisheries research technician in Cape Town, South Africa where she was involved in collecting and analyzing life history data of several small-scale and commercial fisheries, as well as assisted in teaching an undergraduate marine resources course.

Prior to starting her masters, she designed and carried out an independent research project in Chile, funded through the Fulbright Program. In collaboration with the Núcleo Milenio NUTME, she worked collaboratively with small-scale fishers in central and northern Chile to understand the impact of fishing on mesophotic reefs using environmental DNA.
