Cibele Queiroz is a researcher on social-ecological resilience at the Global Resilience Partnership and the Stockholm Resilience Centre
Her research has a main focus on resilience of food systems with an emphasis on the management of ecosystem services and biodiversity under social-environmental change. More recently, she has been exploring the connections between social-ecological resilience and peacebuilding in vulnerable and fragile regions and the specific challenges that transformations and pathways towards sustainability and peace pose in these regions. She engages in co-production of knowledge in close collaboration with GRP partners, and and co-leads the Resilience and Development theme at the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
During 2016-2020 Cibele had a research coordination role in a scientific exchange programme between the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Stanford University, funded by the Swedish Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation. Additionally, she leads and engages in several other international projects, including a Biodiversa funded European collaboration exploring the feedbacks between biodiversity and climate (FeedBaCks). Cibele holds a Ph.D in Sustainability Science at the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
